C.D. Tanksley, age 77 of Brooks, Georgia passed away on Monday, August 10, 2020.
C.D. was born in Newnan, Georgia on May 10, 1943. His parents Marvin James Tanksley and Nannie Lou Phillips Horne; sons, Christopher Dale Tanksley and William Emory Tanksley; several brothers and sisters also precede him in death. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved to spend time with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, of 58 years, Jean Tanksley; children Tony Dwayne Tanksley and Timothy Marvin Tanksley; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother John Talmadge Tanksley; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 12, 2020 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. The graveside service will be on Thursday at 12:00 pm at Fairview Baptist Cemetery. Dr. Jack Landham will officiate.
