Celia B. Callahan

Mrs. Celia Burt Callahan age 89, of Gainesville, Georgia passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023.

Mrs. Callahan was born in Albany, Georgia on August 21, 1933. Her husband, Bill Lee Callahan, parents, John Elmo Burt Sr. and Mary Beacham Burt, sons, Kriss Callahan, Randy Callahan, and brother, John Elmo Burt Jr., all preceded her in death. Mrs. Callahan was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in the Mount Carmel Community. She was retired as a school bus driver for the Griffin-Spalding County School System. One of her favorite pastimes was watching and taking care of her hummingbirds.

Survivors include her son, Robin Lee Callahan and his wife, Robin J.; daughter, Penny Callahan Pfahl and her husband, Bruce; grandchildren, Devon Callahan, Victoria (Matt) Bouy, Brooks Callahan; great granddaughter Leilah Jean Bouy; sister, Gayle Nelson; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Mrs. Callahan will be Wednesday, March 29, 2023 from 11:00 am until 11:40 am at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A graveside service will be at 12:00 pm in Oak Hill Cemetery, officiated by Dr. Ron Johnson.
