Charles Harrison

Charles Franklin Harrison, age 88, of Griffin, Pike County, Georgia passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022 at his residence.

Charles was born in Coral Ridge, Kentucky on July 6, 1933. He was the only son of the late Walter and Clara Philpot Harrison.
   
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Rella. Charles was loving father of 5 children, Debra, Theresa, Lynette, Doug, and Sharlene, who were all raised in Tennessee. He was blessed with 21 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren; stepson, Frank Castile and his wife, Mona, and grandchildren, Heath and Caity. Charlie worked for Wadworth Controls of Denver, Colorado for many years in the Greenhouse Division. Later, he went into business for himself working all over the United States and Internationally. He was recognized for his contribution of the GARC Greenhouse, an annual award from Johnny B. Mostiler. He was also a Veteran of the United States Army.

Many because of his general knowledge of everything will sadly miss him.

A visitation for Charles will be Sunday, July 3, 2022 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be in the Chapel officiated by Reverend Jim Hardee and Reverend Brandon Footitt.
