Charles W. McBroom, Jr

Charles Westmoreland McBroom, Jr. (Dickie), 79 passed away on May 6, 2022 at his residence. He is preceded in death by his parents Charles Westmoreland McBroom, Sr. & Nell Porter McBroom. His brother and sister-in-law, Calvin & Teena McBroom, nephew Randall McBroom & sister-in-law Linda McBroom. 

Charles worked as a sheet rocker and painter for over 25 years. He also designed and built custom cabinets and furniture. During his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and making knives. Charles gave his heart to Christ at the age of 24 and lived out his testimony every day of his life.

He is survived by his wife of almost 58 years, Kate McBroom. He has 3 children, David & Angie McBroom, Mark & Dani McBroom, and Debbie & Charles Holmes; grandchildren, Brittany & Chandler McBroom, Matt, fiancée Hannah, & Amanda McBroom, Brandon & Levi Holmes; greatgrands, Braylan and Layla Hall; brother, Louis McBroom, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation for Charles McBroom will be at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home on Monday, May 9, 2022 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel with Pastor John Nance officiating. Interment will follow at Westwood Gardens.
