Charlotte Joyce Cody

Charlotte Joyce Cody age, 82 of Griffin, Georgia passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023.

Joyce was born April 26, 1941 in Atlanta, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Cleveland Cody, and parents, Benjamin Gordon Smith and Matte Evelyn McDonald. Joyce was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a long time member of Oak Hill Baptist and she enjoyed being a part of her Sunday school class. She loved the Lord. Joyce enjoyed painting, crocheting, traveling and camping. She traveled all over the United States.

Joyce is survived by her children, Cynthia (Mark) Thornton, Rhonda (Mike) Cato, David (Bonny) Cody; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sister, Paulene (Jerry) McCollister; many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Joyce Cody will be Tuesday, January 24, 2023 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral home. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be at 1:00 pm in the Chapel. Reverend John Nance will officiate. Interment will be at Camp Memorial Park in Fayetteville, Georgia.
