Mr. Curtis Owen Benson, age 75, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his parents John C. Benson and Ola Enlow and his wife Mary Lynette Johnson Benson.

Mr. Benson was a proud 27 year, career veteran in the United States Army, earning the title Sgt. First Class, E-7.  He was attached to Special Forces during the Vietnam War and had the honor of being 101st Airborne.  After achieving honorable retirement from the Army he continued to...

Mr. Curtis Owen Benson, age 75, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his parents John C. Benson and Ola Enlow and his wife Mary Lynette Johnson Benson.

Mr. Benson was a proud 27 year, career veteran in the United States Army, earning the title Sgt. First Class, E-7.  He was attached to Special Forces during the Vietnam War and had the honor of being 101st Airborne.  After achieving honorable retirement from the Army he continued to work as a recruiter. Later he retired from Peachtree City Public Works Department as a support services superintendent. He enjoyed hunting, gun collecting and coin collecting.

He is survived by his son, Chris Benson and daughter in law, Andrea; daughter, Colleen Muthama and son in law, Mickey; grandchildren, Shelby Benson, Savannah Benson, Jackson Benson, Kenya Muthama; great-grandchild, Elijah Williams; his siblings, David Levins Jr., Michael Levins, Wanda Moody, Kenny Benson and Johnny Benson. 

The services have been postponed until further notice.
