David G. Adams, age 70 of Griffin, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at West Georgia Medical Center.
David was born in Lithonia on March 13, 1948. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Bates Adams and Willie Edith Adams. He was a veteran United States Marines Corps having obtained the rank of SGT, having served in the Vietnam War and received the Purple Heart, Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars, the Vietnam Campaign Medal. David was a very active and longtime member of Griffin First Assembly. He was a member of the Camping Dancers, The Marine Corps League.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah D. Adams; children, Kelle Schick and husband, Rob, Jeremy Adams and wife, Nikki, Gene Adams, Aaron Morris and wife Melanie; grandchildren, Hunter, Alexis, Eve, Jonathan, Gavin, Noah, Matthew, Logan; sister, Judy Landress; brothers, Dan Adams, Billy Adams, Randy Adams, Ricky Adams and wife Leanne; several nieces and nephews.
A visitation for David Adams will be Friday, March 16, 2018 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will be Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Dr. Randy Valimont and Dr. Ron Crum will officiate. Interment will follow in Griffin Memorial gardens with military honors provided by the United States Marine’s and the Marine Corps League.
