Mr. Daniel Eugene Carlberg, age 61 of Griffin, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon, He went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, surrounded by his loving wife of 38 years and family.

Mr. Carlberg was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on July 2, 1955. He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl Carlberg and Phyllis Augenstein Carlberg.
Mr. Carlberg was an Air traffic controller for the Federal Aviation Administration in Hampton, Georgia with 36 years of service. He loved to fly, and enjoyed playing the piano and singing for his church family.

He is survived by his wife, Penny Reagan Carlberg; daughters, Elizabeth Gaston and husband Joshua, Katie Carlberg; grandchildren, Reagan Gaston, Ryan Gaston; brothers, David Carlberg, Dean Carlberg; sisters, Diane Wintamute, Darlene Deen; several nieces, nephews.

A visitation for Daniel Carlberg will be on Monday, June 19, 2017 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Rehoboth Baptist Church. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm in sanctuary of Rehoboth Baptist Church with Reverend Argin Floyd officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, monetary donations can be made to Rehoboth Baptist Church, Griffin, Ga.
