Danny Ray Coker

Danny Ray Coker, age 64 of Dawsonville formerly of Griffin, Georgia passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023.

Danny was born in Griffin, Georgia on February 3, 1959. His father, Hugh P. Coker preceded him in death. Danny attended Griffin High School and played with the Griffin Bears from 1975 through 1977. He attended Christ Fellowship Church in Dawsonville, Ga. Danny’s passion in life was spending time with his family and being outdoors fishing and hunting.

Survivors include his wife, Sherrie Coker; children, Jennifer Coker and Brandon (Amanda) Coker; grandsons, Cortland Ewing, Asa Coker; granddaughters, Natalie Yarbrough and Gabrielle Whaley; mother, Hilda Thaxton Coker; brother, Tony (DeeDee) Coker; and sister, Tracy Coker; several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will be Friday, November 17, 2023 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home.
