David Doodlebug Brown

David “Doodlebug” Brown, age 79 of Griffin, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2019.

Mr. Brown was born on March 13, 1940 in Griffin, Georgia. He is preceded in death by his parents, J.C. Brown and Rosella Taylor Mangham; daughter, Rebel Brown Pierce; brothers, Hubert “Rooster” Brown and Melvin Brown. He was retired from Springs Industries (Dundee Mills); and attended Ringgold Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Adell Brown; son, Leslie Brown and wife Lisa; step-children, Mike Feltman and wife Patti, Trina Corley, Darrell Feltman; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A visitation for David “Doodlebug” Brown will be Wednesday, March 20, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will be Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 11:00 am in Oak Hill Cemetery. Dr. E.C. Chatham will officiate. The family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral no later than 10:30 Thursday morning.
