Mr. David Joseph Newbury, age 46 of Griffin, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at his residence.

David was born in Atlanta, Georgia on June 7, 1971. He was a member of the Delta Sigma Phi fraternity, loved trivia, sports, had a great sense of humor, loved giving his family a hard time, and usually laughed during prayers.

He is survived by his mother, Charlotte Newbury of Griffin; father, Clyde Newbury and wife Sheryl of Fayetteville; brother, Phillip Newbury of Griffin; sisters and brothers in law, Kim and Jim Hullett of Sharpsburg, Heather Hughes of Jacksonville, Florida, Holly and Todd Gibson of Jefferson, Georgia, Hope and Craig Curtis of St. Louis, Missouri; nieces and nephews, Ashley, Austin, Dillon, Jonathan, Tucker, Natalie, Grace, Jacob, Abigail, Cooper, and Mackai; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A visitation for David Newbury will be on Friday, February 2, 2018 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Reverend Rob Rhew will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
