Debbie Renee Kilgore

Debbie Renee Kilgore age 60 of Griffin, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022.

Debbie was born in Griffin, Georgia on July 26, 1962. Her maternal grandparents, Howard L. and Shirley Griggs Jackson, paternal grandparents, Emory Guy and Ione Anderson Kilgore and nephew, Joshua David Kilgore preceded her in death. Debbie was a member of First Assembly of God. She worked in banking for many years, last working at Innvision Hospitality in Griffin. Debbie graduated Fayette County High School in 1980 with Honors. She cared about others and faced life’s challenges with courage. She was also fun loving, a good cook and always up for a trip to the beach! Though Debbie’s health was failing for years, few knew the extent to which she struggled. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. There was no quit in Debbie. While Debbie’s family grieves her loss, they are choosing to remember Debbie in a way that honors her spirit.
 
Survivors include her parents, Lerry Guy and Sherry Jean Kilgore; daughter, Megan Elise Madaris (Michael); son, Jason Andrew Sheppard; grandchildren, Jackson Stephen Madaris, Camden Michael Madaris; sister, Jenny Rebecca Kilgore; brother, Keith David Kilgore (Cindy); niece, Amanda Elizabeth Kilgore; uncle, Earl Keith Jackson (Mary).

A visitation for Debbie Renee Kilgore will be Sunday, November 27 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be Monday at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Conner-Westbury funeral home. Reverend Mike Freeman will officiate. Interment will follow in New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.
