Diane Long Davis

Diane Long Davis, age 74 of Griffin, gained her wings in the early morning hours on September 10, 2020 surrounded by her devoted family. We will miss her dearly, but will never forget her cheery smile and loving soul. She will always be remembered by her forgiving heart, unconditional love, and the way she made everyone feel special.

Diane was born in Griffin, Georgia on August 13, 1946. She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy Long and Catherine Kendall Long.

Diane was a devoted grandmother to 3 but was also “Nan” and “Didi” to many. She loved to cook, you could always count on a good southern meal from her kitchen. Diane loved to sit on the front porch and watch the kids play. She easily brightened everyone’s day. She was employed at Waffle House for 17 years, making many lifelong friends along the way.

Survivors include her children, Rusty Davis, Wendy Davis, Cathy Zahurak and husband, John; grandchildren, Shelby Zahurak, Hannah Zahurak, Kolton Davis; siblings, Phillip Long and wife, Jean, Randy Long and wife, Chrissie, Carolyn Cobb; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and extended family.

Visitation for Diane Long Davis will be on Sunday, September 27, 2020 from 2:00pm until 4:00pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Following the visitation a memorial service will follow at 4:00pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Reverend Sam Underwood will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Eternal Hope Hospice.
