Mr. Donald J. Tallman, Sr., age 76 of Griffin, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017.
Mr. Tallman was born on October 6, 1941 in Peckville, Pennsylvania. He moved to Georgia in 1979, was employed by Tallman Pools, an avid reader, loved action movies and was a Buffalo Bills fan. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ellsworth and Grace Black Tallman; his wife, Madelyn Morgan Tallman.
He is survived by his children, Darlene Grace Tallman, Donald J. Tallman, Jr. and wife Tammy, Cheryl Lynn Hullett and husband Robert; grandchildren, Tony Hood, Aaron Hood, Michael Dean, Jewel Dean, Chellbie Tallman, Deeanne Tallman, Kacey Gilbert, Jessica Gilbert, Stephanie Hullett, Jennifer Hullett, Micah Mort, Chance McGuire; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Gertrude T. Schmidt; brother in law, Jim Morgan; several nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Mr. Donald J. Tallman, Sr., will be on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Pastor Buren Goss will officiate. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Jonesboro, Georgia.
