Dorothy "Dottie" Jean Brown

Mrs. Dorothy “Dottie” Jean Brown, age 74 of Griffin, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2019.

Dottie was born in Griffin, Georgia on June 28, 1945. She is preceded in death by her parents, Otha Marvin Brown and Jackieleo Bell Brown; sisters, Mamie Sue Akins, Evelyn Lucile Woodward, Jeanette Arnold Watts, Lena McMichael; brothers, Otha “Red” Brown, Johnny Marvin Brown. Dottie retired from Anderson’s Cafeteria after 30 years of service. She always had a smile on her face and never met a stranger.

Survivors include her sisters, Marion Brown and Jackie B. Gibson; several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be Monday, October 28, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will be Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Reverend Gene Luke will officiate. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
