Douglas Leslie Morris, Jr

Mr. Douglas Leslie Morris Jr., age 93, of Griffin Georgia passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Brightmoor Nursing Center.  

Mr. Morris was born in Henry County, Georgia on October 30, 1926. His parents, Douglas Leslie Morris and Alice Smith Morris; grandson, Robbie Avery; son-in-law, Herb Locher; sister, Betty M. Vest all precede him in death. He was retired from Dundee Mills # 1, a member of Searcy Memorial United Methodist Church, a veteran of the United States Navy having served in World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Rosalyn Conner Morris; daughters, Jeanne Bailey husband Robby, Pam Saussy and husband, Stephen, Dena Locher, Leslie Smith and husband, Tony, Michelle Dix and husband Darrell; grandchildren; Alicia and Bucky Newell, KP & Shelly Brockman, Steve and Kate Saussy, Jared Saussy and Caity Cogdell, Lexie Smith, Conner Dix, Taylor Dix, Andrea and Alex Ward, Ashton and Coral Locher, Amy Locher, Adam and Lavelle Locher; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be Saturday, February 15, 2020 from 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home, followed by a graveside funeral service Old section of Oak Hill Cemetery with military honors.
