Evelyn Rivers Williams, age 85, of Griffin, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2018.
 
Evelyn was born in Jackson, Georgia on October 31, 1932. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Rivers and Josie Thompson Rivers; husband, Eddie Williams, Jr.; daughter, Renee Crews, stepson, Eddie Williams III; siblings, Louise Wallace, Mary Jo Loggins, Charlie Rivers, John Rivers, Ray Rivers, Vyrlon Rivers, Lolan Rivers, B. Chester Rivers. She is retired from Dowling Textiles and is a member of Landmark Church of God.
 
She is survived by her son, James E. Smith and wife Angie; son in law, Greg Crews; grandchildren, Trint and Sabrina Grimsley, Lisa and John Jackson, Shelly and Scott Willingham, Jamie and Craig Cannady, Christy Williams-Boes; great-grandchildren, Cameron Grimsley, Hank Grimsley, several other grand and great- grandchildren; step-children, Ricky and Kim Williams, Linda Williams, Dana Williams, Patricia and Ricky Thomas; sister, Paulette Harris; sister in law, Frances Stinchcomb.
 
A visitation for Evelyn Williams will be Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from 5 pm until 7 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 12:00 pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury. Sister Rebecca Brannon and Brother Ellison Brannon will officiate. Interment will follow in Griffin Memorial Gardens.
