Mrs. Dorris Eilene Bryan, age 69 of Griffin, Georgia passed away Monday evening, July 10 2017 at Eternal Hope Hospice surrounded by her husband of 48 years and other friends as she entered the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Mrs. Bryan was born February 28, 1948, in Benton, Illinois. She was a 1966 graduate of Benton Consolidated High School. She married Mr. Bryan on May 3, 1969 at Benton Assembly of God Church in Benton, Illinois. She loved to travel with her husband as he did diabetes peer to peer mentoring programs in many locations across the US and loved seeing historical sites. She is preceded in death by parents, Daniel Earl Stowers and Bertha Alberta Baldwin Stowers; and an infant brother, Robert L. Stowers. Mrs. Bryan was an active member and former worker at Griffin First Assembly in the Nursey and Children’s Department as she dearly loved children and was a member of Mrs. Leta’s Sunday School Class, the Primetimers.

Survivors include her husband, Henry Eddie Bryan of their home; brother’s, Dennis Stowers and wife, Sandy of Sylvan Springs, Alabama, Larry Stowers and wife, Jane of Benton Illinois; David Stowers and wife, Nancy of Benton, Illinois; her uncle and aunt, Rudy and Jane Stowers of Benton, Illinois; many cousins in the Benton, Illinois area and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Mrs. Eilene Bryan will be held Thursday, July 13, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 11:00 am at Griffin First Assembly. Mrs. Bryan will be carried to the church to lie-in-state from 10:00 until the hour of service. Interment will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery in Boonville, Missouri with a graveside service at 2:30pm (cst) on Monday, July 17, 2017.

Rev. Russell Smith and Rev. George Jacobs will officiate.
