Esther Ussery Alger

Mrs. Esther Ree Ussery Alger, age 80 of Hampton, Georgia passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021 at her residence.

Mrs. Alger was born in Thomaston, Georgia on December 16, 1940. Her parents, Reverend Eirvan G. Ussery and Lula Dover Ussery; sisters, June Brown Hitt, Remona Mulvey, Eunice McFarlin, Rachel Parker; brother, Benjamin Ussery, and two nephews all preceded her in death. She retired from Clayton County Chamber of Commerce and was a member of North Griffin Congregational Holiness Church.

Survivors include her husband, Ted Alger; children, Paul Kenneth Lewallen, Timothy Mark Lewallen, Anthony Lee Lewallen; step children, Ginger Holmes, Ellen Atkins, Diane Belcher; sisters, Brenda Parker and Kay Price; 3 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 13, 2021 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Sunday, February 14, 2021 from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service in the chapel on Monday, February 15, 2021 at 11:00 am. Reverend Gene Luke will officiate. Interment will follow in Holly Hill Cemetery, Fairburn, Georgia
