Esther (Cheney) Bolton

Mrs. Esther Cheney Bolton, age 90 of Griffin passed away Monday, June 11, 2018 at Brightmoor Nursing Center.

Mrs. Bolton was born in Macon, Georgia, March 27, 1928. She is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Sydney Wagnon and Esther Lee Asbury Wagnon; her husbands, Charles Berkley Cheney and Arthur K. Bolton. Mrs. Bolton was a member of First Baptist Church, Griffin where she attended the Lydian Sunday School Class. She formerly worked at Griffin Tech and Griffin Hardware.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Lynn Cheney, C. B. and Pat Cheney III; step daughter and son-in-law, Marian and Neil Sorensen; grandchildren, Christopher Cheney, Daniel and Alice Cheney, Kathryn Cheney; 2 great grandchildren, Cadie Cheney and Jordan Cheney; several nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Mrs. Esther Bolton will be Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 2:30 pm until 4:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be in the Chapel. Dr. Mark Sellers will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
