Mrs. Fannie Shurling Cox, age 103 of Kennesaw passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at her residence.

Mrs. Cox was born in Davisboro, Georgia on June 20, 1915. She is preceded in death by her parents, Tilden Shurling and Mary Belle Hodges Shurling; her husband, Edward Gilbert Cox, Sr.; children, Scarlett Cox Bartlett, Edward Gilbert Cox, Jr., William Tilden Cox. Mrs. Cox worked for the Thomaston Cotton Mills; she loved her family, loved watching soap operas, enjoyed card games and listening to country music.

Survivors include her daughter, Syble Cox; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren with 2 more on the way.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted on Monday, September 24, 2018 at 11:00 am at Oak Hill Cemetery, 797 Memorial Drive Griffin, Georgia 30224. Dr. David Platt will officiate.

Conner-Westbury Funeral Home, 1891 W. McIntosh Rd, Griffin is in charge of arrangements.
