Faye Laslay

Velma Faye Laslay, age 82 of Griffin, Georgia, passed away Monday, April 15, 2024.

Mrs. Laslay was born in Sallisaw, Oklahoma on February 26, 1942. Her parents, Walter Smith and Cora Mae Callahan Smith preceded her in death. She was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Laslay is survived by her husband of 63 years, Dennis Laslay; children, Dana Helms (Mark), Rita Smith (Keith), Angie Laslay, D.J. Laslay (Eve); grandchildren, Tabatha Bates and spouse, Haylee Morgan and spouse, Colton Smith, Kacy Smith and spouse, Brittany Foshee and spouse, Savanna Raymond and spouse, Chayla Laslay, Lily Freeman and spouse, Cheyanne Cassar and spouse; 10 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, 2 sisters, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Mrs. Laslay will be Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Followed by a memorial service in the chapel. Pastor Stephen Dervan will officiate.
