Frank Castile, III

David Franklin “Frank” Castile, III, age 61 of Griffin, Georgia, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.
 
Frank was born in Macon, Georgia on November 6, 1961. His grandparents, Frank Castile and Genette Donaldson, Jodie and Corrie Castleberry, father, David Franklin Castile, Jr. and stepfather, Charles Harrison all preceded him in death. Frank retired after working 35 years as an aircraft mechanic at Delta Airlines. He loved his family and was a generous, kind man, an avid race fan, a mustang car enthusiast and loved classic rock music. If it had wheels and a motor, he would find a way to race it. He served as past President of CMVG (Component Maintenance Volunteer Group), an employee group at Delta Airlines that helped raise money for Delta employees who had suffered a tragedy. He was also a past President and member of the Southside Riders Association, a local motorcycle organization who provided one of the largest Christmas parties for foster children in the State of Georgia and collected pop tabs to raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities. 

Survivors include his wife, Mona Castile; mother, Rella Harrision; children, Heather Gable, Caity Vessell (Chris); grandchildren, Jackson Dennis, Julian Dennis and Maddison Vessell; sister-in-law Mary Walden (Jerry); too many special family members and friends to list.
 
A visitation for Frank Castile will be Wednesday, March 29, 2023 from 2:30 pm until 4:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow in the Chapel officiated by Jim Aleshire. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities in Frank’s memory.
