Gary Aldean “ Dean” Kelley, age 81, passed away Monday, August 21, 2017 at Piedmont Henry Hospital in Stockbridge, Georgia.

Dean Kelley was born in Oglethorpe, Georgia on June 6, 1936. He is preceded in death by parents, Homer and Opal Cheek Kelley; twin sister, Mary Alice Morris; brother, Howard Kelley.

Mr. Kelley was a veteran of the United States Navy having served on the USS Lexington. He was formerly employed by Ford Motor Company and a member of First Christian Church of Griffin.

He is survived by his wife, Willette Caldwell Kelley; step-son, Robert Cheek, step-daughter, Teresa Mund; sister, Laura McKenzie; brother, Mark Kelley and wife Lillian; several nieces and nephews; and the Caldwell Family.

Visitation for Mr. Dean Kelley will be held on Friday, August 25, 2017 from 2:00 pm until 3:30 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be conducted at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Reverend Tom Van Laningham will officiate. Interment will follow at Griffin Memorial Gardens, with military honors.
