Mr. George F. "Sonny" Dietz, age 80 of Milner, Georgia passed away Friday, February 8, 2019 at Brightmoor Hospice.

Mr. Dietz was born on February 21, 1938 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Phillip Dietz and Virginia Horn Dietz. He is also preceded in death by son Frank Dietz; daughter Heidi Dietz and brother, Frank Pintar. Mr. Dietz retired from Nalley Honda and also from The City of Milner, Georgia Water Department.

Mr. Dietz is survived by his wife Lillian Dietz; sons George Dietz, Jr. of Naples, FL. and Michael (Pam) Smallwood of Newnan; daughter Melissa (Lamar) Lee of Barnesville; grandchildren Justin Kinnard, Kerissa Kinnard, Kevin Kinnard, Kristin Kinard Jeremy (Tara) Fuller, Ciara Smallwood, Douglas Lee, and Robert Lee; great-grandchildren Savannah, Eliana and Kason; sisters Phyllis Buddenbudge and Geannie (John) Hanner; brother Bobby Dietz; sister-in-law Barbara (Larry) Wade and several nieces and nephews

A memorial service will be Saturday, February 16, 2019, 2:00 pm at Milner Baptist Church, 107 Pecan Drive, Milner, GA 30257. Rev. Guerry “Chip” Garrison will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Brightmoor Hospice in memory of Mr. Dietz.
