Gertrude Coggin Lawrence

Mrs. Gertrude Coggin Lawrence, age 98, of Griffin, passed away, Friday, November 20, 2020.
Mrs. Lawrence was born in Pike County on February 25, 1922. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Carrie Manley; husbands, Charlie Matt Coggin, and John Lawrence; six sisters, and two brothers. She was a member of High Falls Primitive Baptist Church and retired from American Mills.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Lois Coggin; grandchildren, Charles Coggin, Glenda Quick and Susan Coggin; great-grandchildren, Tony and Jennifer Ray, Bethany Koon, Kelly and Ryan Gernand, and Dustin Coggin; great-great-grandchildren, Aubrey Gernande, Austin Miller, Bella Melton, Brettzon White, Benjamin White; sisters, Virginia Mcginnis; and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will be Sunday, November 22, 2020 at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home with Pastor Gene Luke officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
