Gregory Dean Greer

Gregory Dean Greer, age 56, of McDonough, Georgia, went peacefully to be with our Lord on Saturday, April 24, 2021, with his wife and children by his side.
 
Greg was born April 20, 1965, in Richmond, Virginia. He moved to Georgia to be with his wife, Christy, and her three children, who he raised as his own. He was employed for over ten years as a recovery manager with Auto Finance in Forest Park, Georgia. Greg was a loving husband, father, and pawpaw. He enjoyed playing the guitar and listening to Blue Grass music. He loved relaxing by the water, fishing, and anything to do with guns. He adored his dogs, Baxter and Oreo, who could always be found by his side.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon Greer and Audrey Greer; brothers, Bruce Canning and Dale Greer; aunts, Dorothy Sties and Norma Watson. Greg is survived by his wife, Christy Greer; children, Ashley Poe (Andrew), Austin Miller (Erica), Alex Miller (Kylie); grandchildren, Esabella Miller, Evan Miller; brother, Gary Canning (Kathy);uncle, Tom Palmore (Phyllis); several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be on Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 2:00 until 4:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home.  Following the visitation, a memorial service will be held in the chapel.
