Mr. Harold “Hal” B. Fletcher, Jr., age 74 of Dalton, Georgia passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Hamilton Medical Center.
Hal was born in Forsyth, Georgia on November 17, 1945. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold B. Fletcher and Gladys Andrews Fletcher. Hal was a veteran of the United States Army. He graduated from the University of Georgia in 1968 with a Bachelor’s degree in Math and Computer Science. Hal loved sports and especially the Georgia Bull Dogs. When he was not watching football, you could find him outdoors driving his Jeep.
Hal is survived by his siblings, Ken Fletcher and Sandra Fletcher; nieces and nephews, Allison Fletcher, Jason Fletcher, Harrison Fletcher and Anna Fletcher Meeks and husband Dr. Lloyd Meeks; great nieces and nephews, Jackson Fletcher and wife Camryn, Jessa Fletcher, Jada Fletcher and Emmeline Meeks; sister-in-law, Nancy Crawford.
A graveside service will be Sunday, February 2, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Oak Hill Cemetery. Reverend Buren Goss will officiate. A Celebration of Life will be held immediately following the Graveside service at 6th Street Pier. 129 6th Street, Griffin, Georgia.
