Harold "Glenn" Goodson

Harold “Glenn” Goodson, age 86, of Griffin passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021 at WellStar Spalding Hospital.

Glenn was born June 26, 1935 in Griffin, Georgia. His parents Hiram Goodson and Myrtice Bankston Goodson; wife, Theresa Head Goodson; great-grandchild, Abigail Goodson; brothers, Larry Goodson and Cecil Goodson all preceded him in death. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Glenn retired as a professor at Southern Crescent. His hobbies were riding motorcycles, collecting clocks, and being outdoors gardening. He also wrote books of all sorts and had a passion for history. He was a loving father and grandfather and he also was a member of West Griffin Baptist Church.

Survivors include his children, Mary “Jan” Holt, Diane Solis and Julie (Wayne) Holt; grandchildren, Jason (KC) Presley, Michael Presley, Randy (Crystal) Presley, Stephanie (Eddie) Presley, Dylan Presley, Michael Goodson, Misty Frix, Jose Solis, Katie Solis, Savannah Frix, Joey (Sara) Goodson, Ben (Crystal) Greer, Jessica Greer, Wayne (Alyssa) Holt, Jr. and Dalton (Brenna) Holt; great-grandchildren, Tristen Presley, Brodie Presley, Zoe Jayne Presley, Bradley Presley, Mackenzie Presley, Madison Presley, Marionna Ison, Dasia Ison, Aden Cochran, Levi Cochran, Grayson, Nolan, Jaxon Goodson, Taylor Goodson, Kohen Goodson, Eliza Goodson, Ben Greer, Jr., Jayden Greer, Laylay Greer, Madison Faulkner, Hayden Faulkner, Teagan Vladimiroff, Mylee Vladimiroff and Conner Irvin; sisters, Virginia (Jessie) Gasses and Brenda (Wayne) Smith; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Haynes; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A visitation will be Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will be Friday, September 17, 2021 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Conner-Westbury. Pastor Raul Bergerman will officiate. Interment will follow at Westwood Gardens.
