Mr. Harold E. Wilson age 79 of Griffin, Georgia passed away on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Brightmoor Hospice.

Mr. Wilson was born in Alabama City, Alabama (which is known today as Gadsden, Alabama), on December 30, 1938. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hoyt O. Wilson and Eunice Bolan Wilson and his sister, Gail Hubbard. Harold was the owner of West End Fire Extinguisher Sales & Service for over 30 years. He was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church where he was a Sunday school teacher for the “Grumpy Old Men” Sunday School Class, he was an avid fisherman, and an avid Alabama football fan.

Survivors include, his wife, Joyce Turner Wilson; son and daughter in law, Harold and Gena Wilson; daughter and son in law, Debi and Larry Truelove; mother of his children, Josephine Riggs Wilson; step children, Charman Wilson, Jason Fallin; grandchildren, Wil Truelove and his wife Lauren, Christina Roberts and husband Adam, Candace Moore, Luke Shepherd, Campbell Wilson and Jonah Wilson; great grandchildren, Landon Moore, Abby Minko and Lexi Roberts; niece, Donna Cantrell and husband Ronnie.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at Conner Westbury Funeral Home. Following the visitation, a Memorial Service will be conducted in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home at 5:00 pm with Reverend Kenny Heath officiating.
