Harriett "Honey" Tanner

Harriett “Honey” Brock Tanner, age 80 of Griffin, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Eternal Hope Hospice.

Honey was born in Atlanta, Georgia on June 25, 1938. She is preceded in death by her parents, L.E. “Ted” Brock and Myrtle Gentry Brock; brothers, Everett Brock, Michael Brock; sister, Linda Costello; brother in laws, Michael Costello and Bob Gluck. She retired as the Credit Manager for Blake Builders Supply. She was a Past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star in Forest Park. “Honey was a woman with a heart of gold and her love for her family was endless.  She devoted her existence on this Earth to serving the Lord and her family.  Her hobbies included family, crocheting, traveling, and fine dining (with a special love for seafood).  She enjoyed spending time in the mountains of Helen.  She also loved Thanksgiving.”

Honey is survived by her daughter and son in law, Judy and Stanley Smith; grandson, Chase Smith and Autumn Burnett; granddaughter, Kelly Price and husband Geraint; five great grandsons; three great granddaughters; sister, Brenda Gluck; sister in law, Annette Brock.

Visitation for Harriett “Honey” Tanner will be Saturday, December 1, 2018, 2018 from 1:30 pm until 3:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be in the chapel.
