Mrs. Helen Catherine Foster McClure, age 87 of Griffin, Georgia passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at her residence.
Mrs. McClure was born in Digby, Georgia on February 1, 1934. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alton and Grace Foster, husband of 68 years, James McClure, son, Carey McClure, son-in-law, Michael Wilson, granddaughter, Jennifer Glass, brother Maurice Foster and sister-in-law Barbara Foster, sister-in-law, Mary George Foster, brothers-in-law, Richard Moore and Edward Phillips. She was retired from Griffin Spalding County Schools after driving a school bus for 37 years.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Alfred and Cathy McClure; daughter, Sylvia Maxwell; son and daughter-in-law, Carlton and Serenity McClure; grandchildren, Tonya and Jay Childs, Eric and Dana McClure, Keith McClure, Christy and Joseph Norris, James and Lauren McClure, and Emily McClure; great grandchildren, Victoria Shirah, Elise Willis, Savannah Childs, Rebekah Childs, Kendall McClure, Corby McClure, Kristina Moore, Michael Glass, Brennan McClure, Kaleigh McClure, Brian Trice, Thomas McClure, Trenten McClure, and Jodielyn McClure; great-great grandchildren, Brayden Moore, Gracelyn Moore, and Carmen McClure; brother, Jimmy Foster; sister, Melba Phillips; sister and brother-in-law, Becky and Junior Ison; sister, Sybil LaFlame; sister, Sandra Moore; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, February 26, 2021 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the McClure Family Cemetery.
