Howard Woodrow Coats Jr.

Howard Woodrow Coats, Jr. passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2021 at Eternal Hope Hospice in Griffin, Georgia.

Howard was born in Roswell, Georgia on October 24, 1944. His parents, Floy Andrews Coats and Howard W. Coats, Sr.; brothers, Jimmy Coats and Sammy Coats preceded him in death.

He was a mechanic, and was owner operator of The Repair Shop, loved motorcycles, and was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association. He was a member of Rock Springs Church where he was proud to be a part of their Prison Ministry.

Howard is survived by his wife, Janice Prince Coats; children, Jeff Coats, Kevin Coats, Chris Britt, and Billy Walls; sister, Yvonne (Arbin) Martin; several grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 30. 2021 at 11:00am at Rock Springs Church, 219 Rock Springs Road, Milner, Georgia, 30257. Dr. Benny Tate will officiate.
