Mr. Howard Gilbert age 81 of Griffin, Georgia passed away Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Wellstar Hospital.
Howard was born to the late Franklin and Roslyn Gilbert in Griffin, Georgia on April 18, 1939. Howard retired from Ford Motor Company. He was a devoted member of the East Griffin Family Worship Center. Howard loved classic cars, riding motorcycles and camping in the North Georgia Mountains with family and friends.
Howard was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Magdlene Gilbert son, Randy Lamar Gilbert; brother, Richard and Ronald Gilbert; sister, Becky Hollifield.
Survivors include sons, Kelly Gilbert, Joey Gilbert and Austin Gilbert and wife, Makayla; sister, Connie Holt and husband, Tim; grandchildren Kristen Bortone husband, Rob Dalton Gilbert and wife, Forrest, Dylan Gilbert and wife, Jorden; sister in laws, Pat Gilbert and Linda Gilbert and 8 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Saturday, August 15, 2020 from 11:00 am until noon at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Following the visitation a memorial service will be in the chapel. Pastor Richard Kitchens and Pastor Billy Anderson will officiate.
