Gene Crawley

Hugh “Gene” Crawley age 84, of Griffin, Georgia passed away Sunday,
November 28, 2021.

Gene was born in Griffin, Georgia on November 17, 1937. He is preceded in death by his father, Hugh S. Crawley, mother, Charlotte Knight Nichols and Aubrey Nichols, sons, Robert Crawley and Mike Dorrough, nephew, Jerry Beam, niece, Rhonda Beam, and brother-in-law, Lethal L. “Buddy” Beam. Gene proudly served in the United States Army. He loved hunting, fishing and talking about Jesus. He was a member of Oasis Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Crawley, daughter, Rhonda Landers, grandchildren, Christy Strickland (Avery), Jonathan Powell, Jessica Bordelon (Robert), great-grandchildren, Ashlyn and Dylan Allen, Jonathan Scott, Riley Powell, Si Bordelon, sister, Margaret Beam, nephews, Glenn and Tonya Beam, Lee Beam, several great nieces, great nephews and many loving extended family members.

A visitation for Mr. Crawley will be Wednesday, December 1, 2021 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A service will be Thursday, December 2 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Charles Killingsworth and Tyson Roach will be officiating.
