Imogene S Greene

Mrs. Imogene Sansom Greene, age 87, of Christian City, former longtime resident of Brooks, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018. Mrs. Greene was born in Brooks, Georgia on March 11, 1931. She is preceded in death by her parents, Phil and Blanche Hubbard Sansom. Mrs. Greene retired from Griffin Spalding County School System, and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, Fayetteville. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Harold Greene; daughters, Sherry (Jim) Barwick, Linda (Paul) Reussow; granddaughter, Tina (John) Roberts; step grandchildren, Jay (Stephanie) Barwick and Kevin (Amy) Barwick, great grandchildren, Justin Roberts and Brooke Roberts; step great grandchildren, Morgan Barwick, Blake Barwick, Shelby Barwick, Christopher Barwick, JP Barwick, and Kalyssa Barwick; and 2 step great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Betty Howard; several cousins and a niece and a nephew. A visitation for Imogene Greene will be Tuesday, March 20 2018 from 12:30pm until 2pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Following the visitation, a funeral service conducted in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury. Pastor Gene Luke will officiate. Entombment will follow in Westwood Mausoleum.
