Jackie Harold Lifsey

Mr. Jackie Harold Lifsey, age 70 of Williamson, Georgia, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018.

Mr. Lifsey was born in Griffin, Georgia on January 15, 1948. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Susie McPherson Lifsey. Mr. Lifsey was a proud patriot and veteran of the United States Army, having served in Vietnam. His spirit and service to our country continues with his grandson, First Lieutenant Tanner Scroggins presently serving in the United States Army. Mr. Lifsey retired from Dundee/Springs Mills as a mechanic and had a very strong Baptist faith. Above all else he was passionate about his love for his wife, children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter. 

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jean Lifsey; daughters, Lesley (Len) Scroggins and Jill (Bill) Newton; grandchildren, Tanner (Bonnie) Scroggins, Alana Scroggins, Jackson Newton and Will Newton; great-granddaughter, Aida Catherine Scroggins; sisters, Carolyn Lifsey, Pat Howard and Nancy (Reginald) Shiflette; several nieces and nephews along with his beloved pet cat “Cally.”  

A visitation for Jackie H. Lifsey will be Thursday, August 16, 2018 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Interment will be at Sunny Side First Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend Billy Anderson and Reverend Gordon Tippins will officiate.
