James Eugene Huckaby

Mr. James Eugene Huckaby, age 80, of Griffin, Georgia passed away Sunday, December 9 2018 at 7:00 am at WellStar Spalding Regional Hospital.

Mr. Huckaby was born September 29, 1938 in Thomaston, Georgia. He is preceded in death by parents, Henry Grady Huckaby and Lucile Free Huckaby; brother, Shorty Huckaby. Mr. Huckaby was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed watching football games with his son and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Glenda Huckaby; son, Keith Huckaby and wife, Sherry; grandchildren, Dillon Huckaby and wife Candice, Colt Huckaby; great-grandchild, Reygan Huckaby and other grandchildren; brother, Lane Huckaby and wife Patricia; sister, Joyce Cochran and husband Jimmy, Jeanette Huckaby; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Mr. James Eugene Huckaby will be Thursday December 13, from 2:00 pm until 3:30 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Following the visitation, a memorial service will be in the chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Wayne Chase will officiate.
