James A. McClure

Mr. James Alfred McClure, age 86 of Griffin, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2019.

Mr. McClure was born in Arkansas on March 25, 1933. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur Leo and Flossie Rice McClure; son, Carey McClure; a granddaughter; brothers, John and Paul McClure. Mr. McClure was a Mason, formerly worked as a construction Millwright Local 1263 and a 35 year employee of General Motors UAW as a Millwright.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Helen F. McClure; sons, Alfred McClure and wife Cathy, Carlton McClure and wife Serenity; daughter, Sylvia Maxwell; sister, Virginia Scott; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Visitation for James McClure will be Saturday, June 29, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Sunday, June 30, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury. Interment will follow in McClure Family Cemetery.
