Mr. James “Jim” Thomas Quick, 87, of Senoia, Georgia, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and love on Tuesday, October 7, 2020, at Fayette-Piedmont Hospital.
 
Mr. Quick was born in Haralson, Georgia, on August 3, 1933. His parents Willis and Irene Eady Quick, along with daughter and son-in-law, Debra and James Beasley; grandson-in-law, Chris; sister, Annette; brothers, Junior, Paul and Roy all preceded him in death. Mr. Quick retired with over 20 years of service in both the Air Force and the United States Navy having served during the Korean War and Vietnam War. After returning to Senoia he worked and retired from the City of Senoia. Mr. Quick was a member in good standing of Brooks (aka Digby) Assembly of God where he served the congregation as a Sunday school teacher, a Royal Ranger’s leader, a member of the church board of directors, and by doing many maintenance jobs around the church like cutting the grass and other repairs as needed. He was a strong, quiet man who loved his family and his Lord. Together with his wife, Lorna, he modeled and taught so many in our family how God, respect, love, honor, family, and hard work all come together. His quiet Amen’s at family gatherings will be missed by so many for years to come.

Survivors include his wife, of 68 ½ years, Lorna E. Morley Quick; son, Gary Quick (Teri); son, Tim Quick (Jamie); sister, Peggy Camp; grandchildren, Marie Reynolds, Ross Beasley (Anna), Jamie Beasley (Cristal), April Palmer (Tom), Aaron Quick, Avery Quick and Owen Quick; great grandchildren, Jacob (Isabel), Emma, Aspen, Cassidy, Kaelan, Torin; great great grandchildren, Vina and James Elias; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Brooks Assembly of God. Followed by a funeral service in the sanctuary. Reverend Roger Robinson and Reverend Craig Rivers will officiate. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery with military honors.
