Jane Kent

Jane Allen Kent, age 70, of Griffin, Georgia, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on April 15, 2021.

Jane was born October 8, 1950 in Griffin, Georgia. Her parents Frances Lewis Allen and Hugh Allen precede her in death. She was a member of DeVotie Baptist Church in Griffin. Jane was retired from her 30 plus years as one of the best radiologist at Southern Regional Medical Center. She loved her job and everyone she worked with. She was married to her husband, Gene Kent. He has been her life-long partner for 49 years.

She is survived by her husband, Gene Kent, her children, James “Jamie” Douglas Kent, Alec Tate and wife Amy, daughter, Angie Dupree and husband Barry, adopted sister, Linda “Cissy” Freeman, grandbabies, Hamilton, Harrison, Ethan Tate, great-grandbaby, Lincoln Tate, special friend, Mary Eicher Hamlik, caregiver, Crystal Ledbetter; several aunts and cousins; her fur babies “Daisy” the dog and “Ella” the cat.
Jane loved spending time with friends and family. She loved her fur babies and shopping. She was known for helping everyone and had the biggest heart known to man. She touched many lives with her generosity and passion for life.

The family would like to thank everyone that stepped up to help care for Mrs. Jane. And special thanks to The Light House Hospice.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 17, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will be on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Griffin Memorial Gardens.
