Jane Smith Johnson

Mrs. Jane Smith Johnson, age 94 of Griffin, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2019 at Brightmoor Nursing Center.

Mrs. Johnson was born on May 13, 1925 in Pike County, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arra Burkette Smith and Nancy Rebecca Smith; her husband Howard Reeves Johnson; brothers, Zenus Smith, Alton Smith, Penrid Smith; sisters, Muriel Cauthen, Bertha Butler. She was a member of Searcy Memorial United Methodist Church, Griffin.

Survivors include her son, Mark Johnson and wife Rosie; grandson, Matt Johnson and Allison; great-grandchildren, Carter Johnson, Dalton Johnson, Nathan Cowart; sister, Susie Chirbas and husband Jim; sisters-in-law, Sue Johnson, Shirley Johnson; several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be Sunday, August 25, 2019 from 1:00 pm until 2:30 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will follow in the Westwood Mausoleum.
