Jean Matthews

Mrs. Jean Coogler Matthews, age 71 of Williamson passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at her residence.

Mrs. Matthews was born in Thomaston, Georgia on November 29, 1948. Her parents, Virgil Albert Coogler and Farbia Coleman Coogler, precede her in death. Mrs. Matthews was the last surviving child of seven siblings.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ralph Matthews; children and their spouses, John Michael Matthews and wife Lisa, Steven Matthews and wife Brandy, Tiffany Matthews; godson, Jonathan May; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Matthews and Christopher Matthews, John Tyler, Austin, Grayson and Delaney Matthews, Brooklyn Matthews; special niece, Machandra Story; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation for Mrs. Jean Coogler Matthews will be on Sunday, September 20, 2020 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, September 21, 2020 at 12:00 pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home with Pastor Rocky Stubbs officiating. Interment will follow in Westwood Gardens cemetery.
