Jeffery Dwain Long, age 46, of Griffin passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at his residence. 

Jeffery was born in Griffin, Georgia on August 22, 1970. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilson Pruitt Long, Jr and Patricia Henderson Long; grandparents, Sam and Grace Henderson, Wilson Pruitt Long, Sr. and Maggie Allen Long. He was a 1990 graduate of Griffin High School, active at the GARC, former Boy Scout and member of County Line United Methodist Church.

He is survived by dedicated longtime care giver, Tom Bunns and care giver of the past 15 months Shanda Williams, who both loved Jeff dearly; brother, Stacey Long and wife, Holly; sister, Deanna Goodson and husband Michael; nieces and nephews, Stacey Long, Jr and Michael, Katlyn Goodson Brady and husband, Logan, Tanner Goodson; great niece, Abby Long; aunts and uncles, Bernice L. Thompson, Wesley and Linda Long, Danny and Rickie Henderson, Lynn and Kenneth Middlebrooks; Long cousin’s, Lisa, Wes, Hope, Mark and Karen; Henderson cousin, Julie; many second and third cousin’s also survive; special mention neighbors of Pat and Pruitt’s who raised their families together like brothers and sisters, Doug and Mary Evans and daughters, Shanda, Courtney and Danica and their families; Betty Summerville; MeMe.

A visitation for Jeffery D. Long was on Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service conducted on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the chapel. Reverend Gene Walton and Pastor Michael Goodson officiated.  Interment was in County Line United Methodist Church.
