Jerry W Gattis

Jerry Wayne Gattis, age 84, of Fayetteville passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Wellstar Spalding Hospital.

Jerry was born on October 2, 1936 in Atlanta, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Loyal and Audrey Gattis; children Michael Gattis, Deborah Cox Smith and brother Larry Gattis. He was a retired driver for Sydney Lee. He was a member of Second Baptist Church. Jerry was a NASCAR, Dale Earhart and Georgia Bulldog fan. He loved going to yard sales and was quite a jokester. He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his wife, Jane Robertson Gattis; children, Rhonda Gattis Posey, Randy Cox (Elaine), Ricky Cox (Steve), Rodney Cox (Debbie), Joel Cox (Risa); sister, Linda Gantt; 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Betty Brooks, Kay Maddox (Gene), Reverend Jerry Robertson (Martha), Dave Robertson (Marisa), Judy Griffin (Calvin); several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Saturday, March 6, 2021 from 10am -11am at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Followed by a memorial service in the chapel. Dr. Ed Hoard will officiate.
