Jerry Pitts

Jerry F. Pitts, age 76, of Griffin, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021.
 
Jerry was born in Griffin, Georgia on September 13, 1945. He was preceded in death by his wife Rita Crane Pitts, parents, Joseph Franklin Pitts and Margurite Childers Pitts; daughter, Jennifer Williams; twin sister, Geraldine Wimberley. Jerry was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from AEP, formally known as Borden. He was also a member and former deacon of Oak Hill Church.  
 
He is survived by his loving son, Jay Pitts (Suzanne); grandchildren, Mackenzie Pitts, Megan Pitts, Mollie Pitts and Tanner Meyer; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law Mayson Crane (Peggy), Julia Flournoy and Randy Crane (Betsy); several nieces and nephews.
 
Visitation will be Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Oak Hill Church. Followed by a memorial service at 4:00 in the sanctuary. Reverend Stephen Dervan and Reverend John Nance will officiate. The family requests bright colors to be worn.  Jerry loved his country, the Braves, the Ga Tech yellow jackets and anything camouflage.
