JoAnne Andrews, age 86 of Griffin, passed away Friday, August 7, 2020 at Riverside Nursing in Thomaston, Georgia.
JoAnne Andrews was born in Atlanta, Georgia and graduated from Southwest DeKalb High School. JoAnne was a devout Christian with a kind, loving heart. She devoted her life to her family and to helping others. She was a selfless woman that touched the heart of everyone she met. Although she endured years of pain, she never lost that sweet smile on her face. She was very special to all and she will be deeply missed. We gracefully give her to God so that she can finally rest in peace.
JoAnne is preceded in death by her parents Gilbert and Lorene Kent; son Gilbert Ivy Andrews; sister in-laws: Pat Kent and Sue Kent.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Shirley Andrews; daughter, Gayle Kelley; son and daughter-in-law, Galen and Darlene Andrews; daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Richard Phillips. Her brothers, Rodney Kent and Howard Kent. Grandsons, Joshua Kelley, Devin Stahl, Daniel Andrews and Jason Andrews. Granddaughters, Brandi Kelley, Maghan Knowles and Kaylyn Andrews. Great grandchildren, Breanna Kelley, Allie Kelley, Grace Kelley, Elliott Andrews and Archer Andrews. Three nieces and one nephew.
Visitation will be Monday, August 10, 2020 from 10:00am until 11:00am at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be in the Chapel. Interment will follow at Westwood Gardens.
