Mr. Joe Ellis Brooks age 71 of Milner, Georgia passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at his residence.
Mr. Brooks was born in Atlanta, Georgia on February 10, 1949. His parents, Jewel Hogan Brooks and Mary Ellis Thompson Brooks along with his wife, Janet Lee Cox Brooks all precede him in death. He retired from FedEx and was a member of DeVotie Baptist Church. Joe loved history, old cars and enjoyed listening to music especially the Beatles. He also played the drums and the guitar.
Survivors include his daughter, Holly Larimer and husband, Nathan; sister, Lucy Odom; several nieces and nephews
A graveside funeral service will be on December 5, 2020 at noon at Sherwood Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro. Pastor Bob Hooks will officiate. Flowers will be accepted or donation may be made to the Samaritan’s Purse - Operation Christmas Child, https://www.samaritanspurse.org/
