John Woodard Calloway Sr

Mr. John Woodard Calloway, Sr., age 72 of Griffin, Georgia passed away Sunday, March 22, 2020 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon.
Mr. Calloway was born in Springfield, Tennessee on June 26, 1947. He is preceded in death by his first wife Susan Calloway; parents Robert Mason Calloway, Sr. and Virginia Woodard Calloway. Mr. Calloway was President of Sanford Company in Macon, enjoyed ham radio, however, his passion was flying and had his own private pilot’s license. He also served in the Army National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry Calloway; sons John Woodard “Woody” Calloway, Jr. and his wife Christine, Andrew “Mason” Calloway and his wife Leigh; step-children Kim Stewart and her husband Mike, Keith Tyson and his wife Kim; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; Sister Ellen Bush; brothers Robert Mason Calloway, Jr. and his wife Carolyn, Joseph Graham Calloway and his wife Annette. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Graveside services and interment will be on Thursday, March 26, 2020, 1 pm (c.s.t.) at Elmwood Cemetery in Springfield, Tennessee.
