John L. Elmore

John Lowell Elmore age 66, of Griffin, Georgia peacefully passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022.

John was born in Pensacola, Florida on August 4, 1955 and later lived in Jacksonville, Florida.  He graduated from Terry Parker High School in 1973 and then graduated from Florida State University with a B.S. degree in Marketing in 1977. During his career, John worked at JCPenney and Publix. He was an avid sports fan who loved the Atlanta Braves, Florida State University Seminoles, the Atlanta Falcons, Nascar and Golf.

He was proceeded in death by his mother, Mary Elizabeth McLendon Elmore. Survivors include his father, Lowell Elmore and two brothers, Mark Elmore and his children, David, Katie and Luke and brother, Scott Elmore and wife Tracy and their children Carl and Ryan, as well as aunt, Nan McLendon and numerous cousins and extended family.

A visitation for John Lowell Elmore will be Saturday, March 5, 2022 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home in Griffin, Ga. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the Chapel with Reverend Wayne Rickard.

Conner-Westbury Funeral Home, 1891 W. McIntosh Road, Griffin is in charge of arrangements.
